Casella’s Amoco

Rich Casella stands in front of his family’s service station that stood on the northwest corner of Hamilton & Central Avenues.  The service station was operated by different proprietors over the course of many decades before it was turned over to Rich by his father Lou.  The building was eventually demolished to make room for condominiums.  These days the nearest tank of gasoline requires a drive north into Ortley Beach or over the Tunney Bridge into Toms River.

  1. Hi Chris,
Just showed the picture of the old gas station to my Mom and Dad. We love it. Great job with the blog.
Hope all is well with you and your family.
