These 1970 newspaper images recall the Fire Company’s annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition that started way back in 1913. I can’t remember the exact year when we stopped holding the annual dance, but I am going to guess that it was the late 1980s or early 1990s. My father, Tony Vaz, is second from the left.
