Italian American Club – Saturday At The Movies

Movies and hot dogs at the Italian American Club…the 1970s…we watched Abbott & Costello, The Three Stooges, Laurel & Hardy, and cartoons…I recognize many faces in these newspaper photos including the Italian American Club gentlemen.

  1. I recognize the “twins” Kent and Kelly in the front. Mary and I would have contests to see who could eat the most hot dogs during intermission. Those were the best times.

  2. I have to say, I love what you are doing with Terrys collection. Thank you so much. You are doing great justice to Seasides history and it makes me proud to be part of it. I remember those days at the Italion American Club. Thank you very much,
    Chris

    • We’re rocking and rolling Chris. Two weeks ago we received the NJ Division of Archives report summarizing the collections and making recommendation on how to best preserve the photos, memorabilia, and newspapers. We’ll use that report to apply for a grant in January to start implementing those recommendations. On another front, the grant application to the NJ Historical Commission for the film documentary is due by midnight today.
