Edward F. Groffie MIA 1945

Terry mentioned in the news article contained in the previous post that he had an interest in World II history.  No doubt, the war service of his father, Ed Groffie, was one of Terry’s inspirations. The next set of blog posts are news articles from the Ocean County Review in 1945 that describe some of Ed Groffie’s heroic war service.

First though, I want to briefly set out how the Groffie family is connected to the Tunney family.  J. Stanley Tunney and his wife, Louise, were parents of six children.
