Bay Front

In Chapter Four, “The Bay Shore,” I included a postcard on the bottom of page 32 that shows a vintage view of the bay front in the area of Webster Avenue. Before the state highway was constructed the bay shore ran parallel to the road that is today known as Bay Boulevard. The postcard in the book is the older of the views depicted in these scenes – pay close attention to the water tower and the automobiles in all three scenes to help date the views.
